Who We Are

In 2016, changes in Dave’s health led to the decision to sell the animals. He and his brother continued to grow crops on the farmland, but the barn, barnyard, and pasture presented a new opportunity. With Dave’s full support, Debbie transformed her longtime passion into a thriving venture.

The barnyard became home to their plant nursery, the old silo was reimagined as a charming garden courtyard, the bunk feeder turned into an antique shop, and the former cow pasture now grows vibrant hostas and perennials in soil that's certainly well-fertilized! 

Her expertise in native plants ensures that every project not only looks stunning but also thrives in Wisconsin's climate.

John, a proud Edgar native, has been part of our crew since 2018, and we honestly don’t know what we’d do without him! With a sharp eye for detail and a deep-rooted passion for plants—especially hostas (he’s basically a hosta encyclopedia)—John brings serious plant smarts and craftsmanship to everything he does. Whether he’s helping customers in the nursery, getting his hands dirty in the garden, or keeping things running behind the scenes, you’ll always find him busy and smiling.

Meet Boomer – our lovable gentle giant St. Bernard who takes his job very seriously… sort of. As the official taste tester, garden patrol officer, and greeter extraordinaire, Boomer can be found sampling snacks, inspecting flower beds, and offering big, fuzzy welcomes to anyone who visits. He loves everyone and is always ready for a good ole' belly rub!
